Hello golfers,
With Christmas now less than 10 days away there has been plenty of festive activities at the club in the past week. Along with the Family and Club Christmas Dinners there has also been the Christmas Party night all of which have been very well supported.
This week both the Vets and the Ladies sections held their Christmas events with some excellent golf and very "Christmassy" outfits on display! Winning the Vets Baker Brown Cup was the pairing of Russell Swann and George Iles who returned a superb 45 points, winning by two from Bill Goldsmith/Andrew Burchell and Eddie Bolton/Ken Horton. The Ladies placed slightly less emphasis on the Golf and more on the theme of the day which was Christmas Jumpers. The winning entry came from Nudene Hepden, Diana Randall, Cathy Graves and Margaret Yorke with their homemade creation!
As we reach the end of the year the weekly emails will be taking a short break over the Christmas period with the next one scheduled for Wednesday, 6 January. The Majors 2015 - Exclusive Members Offer

Social Events
Bookings are now being taken for both the Burns Night on Friday, 22 January and the Men's annual dinner on Friday, 5 February. Traditional Burns fayre along with Scottish dancing and music will be on offer throughout the evening. Tickets cost £33.50 per person with the dress code smart casual - any kilt wearing is highly encouraged!
For the Men's dinner tickets cost £40 which includes entertainment from after Dinner Speaker Dave Wolfe. The Black Tie event starts at 7pm with a three course dinner also included in the ticket price.

Christmas Draw
Tickets are now available to purchase in our Christmas draw. Each numbered square costs £1, or you can buy six for £5 or 15 for £10. All winnings will be paid in pro shop vouchers with the draw being completed on Christmas Eve.

We have now taken delivery of the new Nike Lunar Control IV shoe which was worn by Rory McIlroy as he won the Race to Dubai title a few weeks ago. Be warned - these shoes are seriously comfortable! Please feel free to come in store and try them for yourself.
