Hello golfers,
On Sunday many of you braved the chilly conditions to take part in our second mixed competition of the year. Even though a lie in on Valentine's Day must have seemed more appealing, there was a strong turn out with some excellent scores recorded given the conditions. Leading the standings was David Symons who returned 39 points, winning by two from Sophie Pullin, with Kieran Blackshaw making up the top three with 36 points.
During last Wednesday's Mid-week Stableford we had a rare situation where two players eagled the par 4 fifth hole in the same afternoon. Both Nigel Edwards and Iain Carter managed to get up and down on the 359 yard hole proving that eagles on the fifth are much like London buses! Bizarrely both players also ended the round with 35 points. I wonder what odds you would have been offered on such a coincidence happening at the start of the round?
Congratulations to one of Junior members Charles David Beeson who won an event on the TGB Academy Winter Tour at Brampton Heath last week. Charles recorded a fantastic score of 31 (four over par) to win by three shots from his nearest competitor in the 9 hole event. Well done Charles!

Social Events
Even though we have only just entered 2016 we have plenty of social events to keep you entertained. Coming up shortly there is:
St. Patrick' Day Dinner on Friday, 18 March. In what is one of the more lively evenings at the club, music will be provided by the Kilburn Cowboys along. Tickets cost £30 per person which includes dinner.
Andrew and his catering team will be running a series of Family Sunday Lunches throughout 2016. Special prices which include complimentary starters and desserts are on offer for all children under the age of 12. For more information on the dates available please

A theatre trip to see Sunny Afternoon which is a hit musical based on music from The Kinks which will take place on Wednesday, 20 April. Leaving the club at 12.30pm by coach there will be a matinee performance followed by a two course meal for £52 per person.
