Hello golfers,
Despite some horrific overnight weather and strong winds throughout the day, there was still a good turnout for the John Turk Memorial Competition on Monday. Despite the tricky conditions there was a bunched leaderboard, with the pairings of Jameel Cockar/Glen Stirling, Mark Collins/Lenny Mahoney and Kevin Hazelden/Tony Sparkes all returning 40 points. Later in the day the Easter Mixed Greensomes took place with Annalie Wilson and Peter Kearsey taking top spot with a fine 38 points, closely followed by Chris Law and Hannah Law who returned 36 points.
This year's US Masters starts a week tomorrow with picking a winner increasingly difficult. In last week's World Matchplay event Jason Day beat Louis Oosthuizen in the final and in doing so returned to number one in the world rankings. This was Day's 6th win in his last 13 starts - quite some record! Our Masters Sweepstake is now open for entries with each square on the board costing £3, with the top prize on each board being £140 in shop vouchers for picking the right name out of the hat. Entries are now open for this year's St. George's Day competition on Friday, 22 April. The Fourball betterball event will be open to members and their guests with the entry fees being £35 and £50 respectively. The day will consist of bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf followed by a rolling carvery, prize giving and live music in the evening. Social Events
Bookings are now being taken for this year's Summer Ball. The black tie event will take place on Saturday, 25 June, with the ticket price of £65 per person including a welcome drink, three course meal and live music from 'Uptown Funk'. Coming up shortly there is also:

A Jazz evening will be held on Friday, 15 April with music from The Man Overboard Quintet. Tickets cost £18 for Jazz only and £35 for Jazz with a two course meal with the event open to members and their guests.
A theatre trip to see Sunny Afternoon, a hit musical based on music from The Kinks, which will take place on Wednesday, 20 April. Leaving the club at 12.30pm by coach there will be a matinee performance followed by a two course meal for £52 per person.

Course Conditions
As we approach the summer months we expect the excellent playing surfaces and course conditions that we enjoy over the winter to continue into the golf season. In order to maintain the highest possible standards, can all members please ensure they repair their pitchmarks on the greens. When leaving a bunker can all rakes please be left with their handles outside of the sand. These small tasks will benefit everyone and ensure that Cuddington's greens remain looking their best all year round.

Shoe Fitting Day
