Hello golfers,
For any of you who watched the final round of the Irish Open on Sunday, you will have seen a masterclass from Rory McIlroy on how to close out a tournament. He produced two stunning shots in the final three holes to win on 12-under-par. Unfortunately he will not be playing at Wentworth this week, however newly crowned Masters Champion Danny Willett will be teeing it up along with many of the world's top players.
We had a bumper entry for Saturday's Competition, which gave all those in Division Two a chance to qualify for this weekend's Club Championships. The quintet of Peter Culver, Stan Finikin, Mark Robson, Alan Ewart and Hing Cheung recorded the lowest gross scores on the day and earned themselves a spot in Saturday's draw. All tee times have now been published for the men's, ladies and junior championships. Cuddington junior Owen Richardson took part in the first Southern Schools Invitational last week. Played over nine holes at Reigate Heath Golf Club, the format is unique with scratch scores over nine holes being used. In almost perfect weather conditions, Owen and his partner notched up an incredible 28 points (10-under-par) playing off scratch to win the boy's event. Well done Owen!
Congratulations also go to Peter Kearsey and Annalie Wilson who won the Snell Salver on Sunday after winning their final against Bob Pullin and Sophie Pullin. Sophie also had another near miss on Friday during the ladies Centenary Bowl match against Banstead. After the two legged match finished 6-6 and both teams were tied on holes won, Sophie took part in a hard fought play-off which she unfortunately lost on the fourth extra hole, despite a valiant effort.
Kind Regards,
Paul Schunter

The Micro Cart folds away in two quick and simple movements and when folded, this trolley offers you a small compact package that is perfect for transportation and storage. This trolley is extremely easy to push due to its large diameter tyres and light aluminium frame making it perfect for strolling the fairways.

It's time to get a grip!
As we head into the start of the golf season one area of a player's equipment that is quite often overlooked is the condition of their grips. Quite often we see grips that are:
- Smooth, with shiny patches and hard surfaces
- Cracked or split
- Show wear spots, especially where the thumbs make contact
- Faded or bare spots on grips that have been painted or have logos
- Complete loss of tack
Improperly sized grips, grips that aren't suited for certain weather conditions, grips that don't enhance playing ability and grips that are simply worn-out and slick will negatively impact your game and cost you strokes. Comfort, consistency, shot dispersion and shot distance can all be improved with new golf grips.
To help you get the best out of your grips we are currently offering 13 grips for the price of 10 on full sets, and seven grips for the price of six on a half set of re-grips while stocks last.
