Hello golfers,
Sunday saw the Cuddington Pro-Am take place with some fantastic scoring in tricky conditions. Nico Els won the Professionals event with a superb round of 65, with Tony Eason's team winning the amateur prize on 16-under-par. A full review of the action can be found in the email below.
Tomorrow sees The Open Championship begin at Royal Troon with a strong field assembled for the year's 3rd Major Championship. Many are looking to Dustin Johnson to continue his winning streak, however, beware of many players gathering form such as South Africa's Branden Grace. Good luck to all of you who have bought squares in our Open sweepstake!
Entries are now open for both the Generations Cup (Sunday, 31 July) and Gent's Invitation Day (Sunday, 7 August). The Generations Cup is open to all parents and their children and grandparents. Those wishing to play that don't have a child who plays can "adopt" a junior member for the afternoon. Please add your name to the sign-in sheet on the main noticeboard if you wish to play as per usual. Our Gent's Invitation Day this year will consist of an 18 hole betterball stableford in the morning and a 9 hole Texas scramble in the afternoon. Coffee and bacon rolls will be served on arrival with a buffet lunch and tea served after golf. The entry fee will be £60 per pair, to enter please either reply to this email or add your name to the sign-in sheet on the main noticeboard.
Kind Regards,

Pro-Am 2016
With just shy of 200 players taking to the course, a fantastic day was had by all and the course and catering were unanimously praised by visiting Professionals and amateurs. On a day of tough scoring, there were a few standout performances. Winning the Professional's event and the top prize of £1,500 was Nico Els who returned a fantastic 65 (-6). His nearest challengers were Andrew Raitt and Tim Spence who both scored 68 (-3) in the morning. In the team event Tony Eason, Terry Moore, Ian Owen and their Professional Andrew Raitt (pictured) won with an excellent 16-under-par total. Losing out on countback were Bob Pullin, Sophie Pullin, Andrew Sargeant and Professional Tim Spence. A huge thank you goes to all those who generously donated items or sponsored holes, and an even bigger thank you to Chris Williams for his hard work behind the scenes over the past few months which made the day such a success.
