Hello golfers,
Our junior golfers have once again surpassed our expectations by winning the Home Nations Inter-Club Championships at Studley Wood on Sunday. The six man team consisting of Enrique Dimayuga, Jack Sutherland, Dexter Daly, Joe Scrivens, Callum McManus and Buster O'Callaghan (all pictured with Junior Organiser Ian Collard) finished top of the standings, with Enrique's gross 67 (5-under-par) the standout performance. The team will now represent England in the Junior Team Golf Home Championships Final which will be staged in Andalucía during February/March 2017. Well done to all involved for such a fantastic achievement.
Congratulations also go to Cliff Ward who won the Men's Annual Singles Final on Saturday. Cliff (pictured) defeated Peter 2&1 in a closely fought contest the 36 hole match. Cliff's win was rewarded with 25 points in the Gent's Golfer of the Year standings, moving him up to sixth place overall. Mark Barnham currently leads the way on 49 points, only a point clear of Jamie Warriner and two ahead of Vincent Petrozzi with only three events remaining.
As the ground conditions change and the greens become softer, can all members please be diligent in repairing their pitchmarks as well as raking bunkers and replacing divots. By doing so we will ensure that the course is presented in its best possible light throughout the winter months and into the 2017 season.
Kind Regards,
Paul Schunter
Director of Golf & Operations

Titleist 917 Range
Titleist have announced their new line up for drivers and fairway woods, with the 917 range now available for fitting ahead of their launch later this month. The 917 models benefit from a new SureFit CG moveable sole weight which is the result of a five year research process. This weighting system, along with the SureFit hosel, allows for precise fitting and fine tuning the performance of the club to find the optimum ball flight for the golfer. Both the drivers and the fairways are available in two models (D2 and D3 plus F2 and F3) which offer different design profiles and performance characteristics.

New Callaway Products
We now have in stock the brand new Callaway Big Bertha Fusion woods and irons along with a new range of Steelhead XR irons. Callaway engineers have pioneered a new "recipe for ultimate forgiveness" which includes a forgiving shape, a low and deep center of gravity, an enhanced sweet spot area, and multiple shaft lengths in the Fusion woods producing the most forgiving driver Callaway has ever created. The Steelhead irons include Callaway's next-generation 360 face cup, which increases ball speed and forgiveness. The longer irons are designed to launch higher for more carry and distance, and the scoring irons to launch lower for more control and accuracy.
To try either of these models or to book a fitting session please contact the pro shop.

I am pleased to announce that we are now an authorised fitting centre for Mizuno with a full complement of demo irons and wedges available to try. With another 20 minutes you can test the outcomes and identify the set make-up best suited to your game allowing for a highly accurate fitting procedure. Just 5-7 days later your unique iron set can be ready for dispatch from our assembly line in Scotland. Fittings are now available to book.
