Last weekend saw the culmination of the European Tour Season with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Open Champion Henrik Stenson secured the top spot in the Order of Merit after finishing 9th in the final event of the year, claiming a $1.25million bonus in the process. Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick won the tournament itself, pipping fellow countryman Tyrell Hatton after he birdied the final hole of the tournament.
Now that we are experiencing more prolonged spells of cold weather, we have the perfect solution to keep you warm. Social Events
As we head into the final part of 2016, the following social events are now fast approaching:
- Please note that the Family Christmas Lunch and New Year's Eve Party are all now FULLY BOOKED. If you would like to be added to the reserve list for either event please contact Sally as soon as possible.
The Club Christmas lunch will take place on Sunday, 11 December, with tickets costing £28 per person which includes a traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. There are only a few spaces remaining so please make sure you sign-up fast if you wish to attend.
There is also limited availability for the Club Christmas Party on Friday, 9 December. This popular event returns providing the perfect place to have an early Christmas gathering or company staff party. Tickets cost £40 per person which includes Bucks Fizz on arrival, a two course buffet meal and a disco until 12:00pm.
We are pleased to announce that we have been able to secure tickets to see The Girls at The Phoenix Theatre in May next year. The Girls is the true story of the Yorkshire Calendar Girls, a group of ordinary ladies who achieved something extraordinary. This new musical comedy brings together the writing talents of Gary Barlow and Tim Firth (Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots), who grew up in the same village in the North of England, and have been friends for 25 years. Mizuno Fitting Day
We have had many of you already visit us for a fitting for Mizuno products which have proved very popular in the short space of time that we have stocked them. For those of you thinking of investing in a new set, we will be hosting a fitting day on Friday, 2 December between 2:00pm and 6:00pm in the Swing Studio. Titleist 917 Range
Titleist have announced their new line up for drivers and fairway woods, with the 917 range now available for fitting ahead of their launch later this month. The 917 models benefit from a new SureFit CG moveable sole weight which is the result of a five year research process. This weighting system, along with the SureFit hosel, allows for precise fitting and fine tuning the performance of the club to find the optimum ball flight for the golfer. Both the drivers and the fairways are available in two models (D2 and D3 plus F2 and F3) which offer different design profiles and performance characteristics.
