Hello golfers,
Our junior team, competing in the Home Nations Inter-Club Championship, head out to Portugal this weekend ahead of next week's tournament at Morgado Golf Resort. The first day of the four round tournament is Tuesday, 13 February, with regular updates due as the week progresses. We would like to wish the team of Dan Burton, Dexter Daly, Enrique Dimayuga, Edward Dimayuga, Owen Richardson, Joe Scrivens, Callum McManus and Buster O'Callaghan all the very best of luck.
Sergio Garcia marked his 250th European Tour event with a win last week at the Dubai Desert Classic. Thanks to an impressive 22 birdies in four rounds, the Spaniard was able to tame the unusually stormy weather to claim his 12th European Tour. Tiger Wood's return lasted only one round after back spasms forced his withdrawal on Friday morning - surely a worrying sign given the fitness woes he has suffered over the past few years.
Meanwhile in the United States, the PGA Tour visited Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Known for its stadium built around the par three 16th hole (which provides a vibrant atmosphere to say the least), players are either cheered or booed depending on the success of their tee shot. During last week's event they had a mechanical golf robot on the tee which produced a miraculous shot, click here to see what happened.

Upcoming Fitting Days
In the next few weeks we have two fantastic fitting days lined up for you. On Thursday, 23 February the Callaway team will be here from 2:00pm - 6:00pm with their new Epic and Fusion drivers available for fittings, which Chris found impressive in his recent driver testing (click here to read more). A week later on Thursday, 2 March it is Mizuno's turn, with appointments available from 1:00pm - 5:00pm that day. All Mizuno fittigns will benefit from using their D.N.A fitting system to ensure you get the right shaft and head combination for your game.

We are pleased to announce that we have been able to secure tickets to see The Girls at The Phoenix Theatre in May next year. The Girls is the true story of the Yorkshire Calendar Girls, a group of ordinary ladies who achieved something extraordinary. This new musical comedy brings together the writing talents of Gary Barlow and Tim Firth (Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots), who grew up in the same village in the North of England, and have been friends for 25 years. This year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations will take place on Saturday, 18 March, with music provided by Wraggle Taggle one of the most popular traditional Ceilidh bands in London. The event is open to members and their guests with tickets costing £38 per person which includes dinner, music and dancing.

It's time to get Epic!
We have also received our fitting kit for the new Callaway Epic driver which has received rave reviews since its launch. The Epic driver boasts many new features, in particular it benefits from new Jailbreak Technology, which essentially changes the way the head and clubface behave at impact to deliver more ball speed and distance. Jailbreak consists of two strong titanium bars behind the face, parallel to each other and connected on either end to the crown and sole.
