Hello golfers,
Since his death last September, many tributes have been paid to golfing legend Arnold Palmer as the game recognised his many achievements in a career that spanned over 50 years. This week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill is the first playing of the event since his death, with many of the world's best players teeing it up at Bay Hill to remember Arnie's swashbuckling style. I'm sure as the week goes on more and more great stories and memories will be recounted as the man known as 'The King' is honoured not just in the USA, but around the world.
Many of you may have noticed that work has commenced on the paths between the car park and the first and 10th tees, which should be completed in the next two - three weeks. During this time can all members take note of and adhere to the footpath diversions around the clubhouse so the works can proceed without delay. Monday, 20 March will also see Simon and his team begin the annual course works including hollow-tyning and top dressing the greens with sand, which helps to aerate the soil and produce healthy playing surfaces throughout the busy summer months. Temporary greens will be in play while this work takes place. There will also be further top dressing sessions on the afternoons of Monday, 3 April (front 9) and Tuesday, 4 April (back 9).
This year's County Cards have now been delivered and are ready to collect from the pro shop. County Cards can be used at many clubs both locally and nationwide to obtain a reduced green fee should you wish to play there. For more information, please click here.
Kind Regards,

New Titleist Pro V1 And Pro V1x Balls
The 2017 Titleist Pro V1 golf balls are now on sale, with plenty of changes inside the ball that make their performance even better than before. The new 2017 Titleist Pro V1 features a Next Generation 2.0 ZG Process Core that benefits from a new formula that generates lower spin and faster ball speeds, with the biggest spin reductions noticeable in the long game. The number of dimples on both balls hasn't changed, but the cast in which the dimples are created are now laser-etched meaning improved dimple consistency ball-to-ball. As a result, golfers can expect a more aerodynamically consistent ball flight and a tighter peak-height window on each shot's apex. The Pro V1's cover will also continue to deliver great short-game performance with long-lasting durability thanks to a soft Urethane Elastomer that is precisely formulated to deliver control with soft feel. How do you know which Titleist ball is right for you? Let Titleist help you out a bit by clicking here. The balls remain priced at £12 per sleeve or £42 per dozen.
