Hello golfers,
As mentioned a few weeks ago, three of our junior members were selected to represent Surrey U'12's in a friendly match against the Welsh U'12's side at Foxhills Golf Club. The trio of Buster O'Callaghan, Oscar Lent and Kris Kim all performed well and contributed to a close match, which ended with both teams tied on 4 ½ points each. Well played boys - keep up the good work this season.
There has been further good news from the junior section yesterday with the news that Enrique Dimayuga has been selected to play for England U'16's at Prestatyn Golf Club from Tuesday, 11 April - Friday, 14 April. The four cornered match is between England, Wales, Ireland and The Netherlands. Congratulations Enrique on this excellent achievement!
We are now just over two weeks away until The US Masters begins at Augusta, with many of the world's top players showing some fine form as we approach the first Major of the year. Keep an eye out for Cuddington member Ross Fisher this week in the WGC World Match Play event in Texas. A good finish will give Ross an excellent chance of breaking into the top 50 of the world rankings by Monday, 3 April and securing a spot at Augusta. Good luck Ross!
Closer to home Simon and his team have now completed the majority of the scheduled course works this week, with all the greens now hollow tined, scarified and top dressed. Work is also progressing well on the new pathways around the clubhouse and to the 1st and 10th tees. Please keep an eye on the signage around the clubhouse as the access point to the course is likely to change from day to day as the works progress.

We are running a new promotion to kick start the 2017 season with a raffle to win a brand new driver to take onto the fairways this year. Tickets cost £5 each with the winner receiving a fully custom fitted driver of their choice from the brands we stock including the Callaway Big Bertha Epic and the TaylorMade M series. Following this Saturday's AGM our incoming Captain Ian Cochrane will once again be hosting an AGM party from 7.30pm on Saturday, 25 March. Tickets cost £10 per person which includes a light supper and a disco. This is open to both members and guests with the dress code smart casual.
On Sunday, 26 March we will be holding our Mother's Day Lunch. There will be selection of starters followed by a carvery or fresh fish dish as a main, with puddings or a selection of cheese to round off the meal. The three course lunch, which includes coffee and mints, is priced at £25.50 for adults and £13.50 for children under 12. This event is usually extremely popular so please make sure you book your table ASAP.
Bookings are now being taken for lunch on Easter Sunday, 16 April. There will be a selection of starters and desserts with a carvery and fish dishes available for the main course. Tickets cost £25.50 for adults and £12.50 for children under 12 (including an Easter egg) with reservations being taken on a first come first served basis.
Our popular Jazz Evening returns on Saturday, 22 April with The Man Overboard Quintet performing their take on a repertoire of tunes made famous by the likes of Billie Holiday, Django Reinhardt, the Mills Brothers, Duke Ellington and Fats Waller. There will be a two course pre-jazz dinner (at 6:00pm), with the jazz beginning at 8:00pm. Tickets cost £36 per person for food and jazz and £18 per person for jazz only.
Friday, 5 May will see Andrew and his team put on a Barn Dance for y'all! Tickets cost £28 per person which includes a hog roast supper plus live music from Barn Dance Band The Haylayers. Open to both members and guests, jeans are allowed for this event where you are encouraged to dance your boots off!
