Hello golfers,
There was a healthy turnout for the Cuddington Decanter last weekend with 96 golfers taking to the course. Good scoring was hard to come by, however the team of Vinnie Petrozzi, Richard Turk, Rick Hazelden and Rick Spicer finished top of the congested leaderboard with 100 points. A point back in second spot were Richard Parr, Ian Torkington, Scott Mutter and David Bolton, with Matt Taylor, Gary Dawes, Stuart Butt and Jon Bell taking third place with 96 points.
Next week sees the European Tour head to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship with a star studded field on show. Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose are all confirmed to play, along with many other of the European Tour's top names around the recently revamped West Course. For those of you wanting to go and watch the action, please click here for a special offer on ticket purchases.
More good news from the junior section as Dexter Daly has reached the semi-finals of the Surrey Junior Knockout. James Crossett may be able to join him there if he can win his Quarter-final match in the coming weeks, good luck to both of you and hopefully you meet each other in the Final.
For those of you in Division Two, a quick reminder that the top five gross scores from this weekend's George Collins Cup qualify for the Club Championships the following weekend. Make sure you bring your "A" Game with you on Saturday! For those in Division One, please remember that the deadline for entries is this Sunday, 21 May.
Another week, another hole-in-one! Congratulations go to Len Moore on his hole-in-one on the 13th during last week's Mid-week stableford. Well done Len!
Kind Regards,
Paul Schunter
