We had a fantastic Club Championships over the weekend, with the Men's, Ladies and Juniors all taking to the course in their respective events.
After many close shaves Scott Mutter finally got his hands on the Men's trophy after impressive rounds of 72 and 70 in tricky conditions. Tana Churchill won the ladies event (79+83) while Lucas Gambel overcame Ben Partridge in the Junior Championship.
Well done to you all!
Richard Greaves achieved a clean sweep in the seniors' event winning both the gross and nett prizes, while Max Davis stormed to victory in the Stewart Cup with a superb 46 point total.
There was also some fantastic action at Wentworth over the weekend, as Swede Alex Noren fired a sensational 62 in the final round to leapfrog the leaders and claim the title. There were other good finishes from our own Ross Fisher who snuck into the top 10. This week Ross is competing in the Memorial event on the PGA which is hosted by Jack Nicklaus - good luck Ross!

Finally, we will be running a Scratch Knockout event throughout this summer. It is open to all male members with handicaps of 13 and below, the deadline for entries is this Sunday 4th June. If you wish to enter please either reply to this email or add your name to the signup sheet on the main noticeboard.
We look forward to seeing you at the club this week.

Course Manager's Report
As we head to into the busy summer months, course manager Simon Osborne will be keeping you up to date with the latest goings on from the greenkeepers compound every few weeks:
"All our preparations for the club championship were going well until our brand new greens mower sprung a hydraulic leak on greens 6 to 9. The machine has now been sent back with a flee in its ear, and another has been ordered to replace it. Toro have lent us their latest machine until the new one turns up.
The damage on the greens has not been as bad as first thought and has already almost grown out. The recent rain has also been well received after a very dry period which has allowed us to create some definition in our cutting patterns in recent weeks."
