Hello golfers,

On Sunday we had the Cuddington Gent's Invitation Day which saw 72 players take part in a shotgun start at 9:00am. The day ran well and following the shotgun all competitors finished at a similar time ensuring a fantastic atmosphere afterwards. The scoring was, as you would expect, very good with the chosen format and Ian Booker and his guest Adam Turnball from Walton Heath won with a betterball score of 43 points. Darren Sutton and his guest Ian Lennard (Surrey Downs) finished a very close second with 42 points.

As the European Tour and the Race to Dubai reach the closing few weeks Ross Fisher is back on centre stage. Having finished runner-up in his last two events he will be looking to go one better this week. He likes the event having finished third and sixth in his last couple of appearances in the WGC – HSBC whilst being a combined 31-under-par. We will all be hoping he can get over the finishing line this week and win. He is still currently fourth in the Race to Dubai.

Ladies All Winners Medal

Julie Goodfellow was both the overall winner and Silver Division winner with a nett 71. The leading player in the Bronze Division was Helen Moore.

Vets Away Match vs. The Drift

Unfortunately The Drift ran out as winners on this occasion with a scoreline of 6.5 - 1.5.

Surrey Captain's Trophy

On Monday the Surrey Captain's Trophy was played at Cuddington and our juniors finished a very creditable second to a strong team from Burhill.

• Murder Mystery Evening – Saturday, 28 October. See if you can work out 'who done it' at our murder mystery evening, tickets cost £38 per person which includes a blood thirsty three course dinner. This event is open to both members and their guests.
• Rat Pack – Saturday, 18 November - £38 per person which includes a three course meal. David Alacey’s Rat Pack show featuring Frank, Sammy and Dean. The hit tribute show ’The Rat Pack’ perfectly captures not only the wonderful music and comedy of the original legends, but also the remarkable personalities of the stars who truly ruled the entertainment world.

Our new winter collection of Cuddington crested knitwear has now arrived

For this coming season we have swapped manufacturer from Glenbrae to Alan Paine to provide our crested knitwear. Over the years Alan Paine have attained a worldwide reputation for producing quality knitwear and have done so for over a century. We now have a full range of crested jumpers in stock which includes both lamb's wool and merino versions in quarter zips and V necks. We even have some plain cashmere in a sea of colours.

Opening hours

As the evenings are drawing in, so are the opening hours of the pro shop. From now until the clocks change at the end of October, the pro shop will now close at 5:00pm. Once the clocks change this will move to 4:00pm throughout the winter months.
