Hello Golfers,

Well, no sooner had we got rid of the snow before it is once again forecast for this coming weekend. Please check the website for updates regarding the course conditions.

It was nice to see many of you up here playing this week and I hope you all think the new path is an improvement. The 7th tee and surrounds have now been turfed and we are hoping to have it all back in play in early May.

Chris Jones and Peter Kearsey played the first round of the Kelso-Hamilton (Surrey fourball betterball knockout) on Saturday, 10 March, playing away to Croham Hurst first team. Having gone two down, they were back to one up at the turn, before being dormie three, dormie two and then dormie one. Well done to Chris for holing the winning putt on the 18th. In the next round, they are away to either Roehampton or Dulwich & Sydenham.

Following on from last week’s email there are now only a few spots remaining in the charity event on Friday, 27 April. If you were planning on playing, please add your name to the list on the main noticeboard as entries are limited and accepted on a first come first served basis.

Please don’t forget that your county cards are available to collect from the professional’s shop.

Our new era has begun

Last week you received an email from us asking for your help. It wasn’t anything too onerous or time-consuming; simply sparing 20 seconds of your time to complete your golfing profile.

The reason we’re asking you to do this is so that we can start sending you personalised content that is more relevant to your golfing needs. For example, if you’re a lady golfer with a handicap of 28 then the weekly emails you receive will include ladies product that will be suited to your playing ability. Likewise, if you’re a gentleman off 12, we will begin sending you content that will help you to get your handicap down to the holy grail of single-figure digits.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed their profile and for those of you who haven’t been able to as of yet, please try and do so in the near future.

US Open Marshalling at the US Open Qualifying - Monday, 4 June

On Monday, 4 June Cuddington are providing a team of volunteers to marshall at the US Open Qualifying taking place at Walton Heath. This is a fantastic opportunity and anyone wishing to help should sign-up on the sheet found on the main noticeboard. Once Brian Groves has full details, he will then contact you with further information nearer the date.
