On Sunday the club's team in this year's Daily Mail Competition took on Purley Downs on a wet and windy morning in a close fought encounter. At the end of the five singles matches the score was tied at 2½ points each meaning a sudden death playoff was needed to separate the teams. Match Captain Vincent Petrozzi was able to hold is nerve and win the first playoff hole to ensure Cuddington's passage into the next round.

Entries are now gathering pace for the Cuddington Decanter which will be played next Friday, 15 May. The format is a betterball stableford from 1pm, with a two course dinner after play.
