Time is certainly whizzing by as we have somehow reached the month of June. As we reach the busiest part of the golf season there is plenty going on both at the club and in the shop. Last week saw some fantastic performances both home and away from some of our juniors, full details of which can be found in the email below. The Men's Club Championship takes place on the 13th and 14th June to all those with a handicap of 13 and lower, please note that the deadline to enter the Championships is this Sunday, 7 June.

Club Match Results
Junior Club Championships
Even torrential downpours and thunderstorms could not stop the Junior Club Championships going the distance last week as the youngsters took to the course looking to win the biggest prize in the junior calendar. At the end of a long and wet day, Enrique Dimayuga took home the trophy with gross rounds of 79 and 73 to win by three shots from Jack Finch. New member Millen Galliven won the nett prize after rounds of 64 and 70 again giving him a winning margin of three shots from Oliver Bright who also carded an afternoon nett 64.
The youngest Juniors competed later in the day for the Stewart Cup and Buster O'Callaghan came out on top having scored 22 points in the rain shortened nine hole event. Well done to all those who took part and thanks again go to Ian Collard for his help in organising the day.
Paul Casey Trophy
Cuddington junior members have been flying the flag away from home in the last week, the highlight of which being the performances of Callum McManus and James Crossett at the Surrey under 12's championship where they competed for the Paul Casey Trophy. Callum ended the day the winner after an excellent round of 79 gross (nett 62) finishing one ahead of James who's 80 fell just short of the winning score. Well done to both boys on their fine performances! In other results Luke Jones won the YIGS event at Addington court recently while Edward Dimayuga finished third in the Surrey Rookie League event at Tyrells Wood after an excellent round of 40 points.
Courtney Hardwick Cup
Saturday's Courtney Hardwick Cup gave those not eligible to play in the Club Championships a chance to do so with the top five gross scores qualifying for the 36 hole event on the 13th and 14th of June. In a tough day of scoring the qualifiers were Alan Ewart, John Higgins, Tony Butler, Michael Blackburn and Bob Pullin - good luck to all five for the championships in about 10 days time!
FootJoy Shoe Fitting Day
We had a bumper turnout on Friday for our first ever shoe fitting day. James from FootJoy managed to squeeze in a massive 27 appointments throughout the day, many more than the average of 15 that he normally has! The importance of having a shoe fitting was highlighted by the fact that only three people of the 27 that attended left with the same size shoe than they arrived with. We will aim to hold another shoe fitting day later in the year so if you missed out this time please watch this email for further details.
