This Sunday sees the Cuddington Pro-Am take place with a full field of 48 teams taking part. We are lucky to have many of the best professionals in the South Region teeing it up at the weekend including former European Tour Pros Andy Raitt and Chris Gane as well as ex-Asian Tour player Guy Woodman. A full review of the action can be found in next week's email.
Next week sees the Open Championship take place at the home of golf, St. Andrews, however defending champion Rory McIlroy is likely to be missing after rupturing his ankle ligaments playing football on Saturday. Will his injury leave the door open for Jordan Spieth to continue his dominance in this year's majors? Or can Tiger Woods build on the glimpses of good form that he showed at last week's PGA Tour event?
Finally, congratulations go once again to one of our junior members James Crossett for winning the individual honours in the Surrey Schools Championships. James will be playing in Sunday's Pro-Am with fellow juniors Enrique Dimayuga and Callum McManus alongside Cuddington Pro Chris Corry where hopefully his good form will continue! We look forward to seeing you at the club this week.
