Matchplay Results

As the golf season draws to a close many of this year's matchplay events are now reaching their conclusion.

On Sunday the final of the Dainty Cup was played with Simon Bale and Richard Parr (pictured) winning 2&1 in the 36 hole match against Phil Coombes and Steve Codling

Recently Monty Holcombe won the Junior event beating Lucas Gambel, while this week sees the culmination of the Men's Singles when Dave Symons and Farro Jalalpour go head to head in another 36 hole tussle.

Entries are now also open for some of the winter matchplay events. Those wishing to participate in either the Dutch Cup (Men's foursomes) or Snell Salver (Mixed Foursomes) can do so by signing up using the sheets on the main noticeboard. Entries for both events close on Sunday, 4 October.

Junior News

Congratulations go to the Cuddington "B" team of Austin Gambel, James Crossett, Buster O'Callaghan & Monty Holcombe who won their match against a strong and older Burhill team at Pyrford on Sunday in the Surrey Rookie League. The result takes them into the final against Farleigh Court this Sunday, 13 September again at Pyrford. Everyone at the club wishes them the best of luck for the weekend!

Members are reminded to please sign in at the pro Shop before heading out onto the course. While tee times will not be available to book in advance (apart from Saturday & Sunday mornings as per usual), this system will give us a better idea of who is on the course at any given time which will help us manage the flow of the course during busy periods and to advise other members of the best time to start later in the day.
