Those of you who watched the Portugal Masters last week will have seen Englishman Andy Sullivan dominate the tournament from start to finish winning by nine shots on a staggering 23 under par total. The real competition was however at the other end of the Order of Merit with many players trying to climb into the all-important top 110 to secure their playing rights for next year. With only one event to go in Hong Kong this week, the last spot is currently held by Englishman Seve Benson who has a €7,000 gap between himself and Thailand's Prom Meesawat who is 111th on the rankings. Realistically a further 20 players lower down the standings are looking for one final push to make a late surge up the Race to Dubai rankings to keep their cards for 2016.
Congratulations go the team who took on Kingswood on Saturday morning after winning all their matches in a fantastic 6-0 victory. This weekend sees a match against local rivals Epsom where hopefully another emphatic win can be recorded!
A quick reminder to all members that tickets are still available for this year's Captains Raffle which has as the main prize a PowaKaddy FW3 Electric trolley. Tickets are available to purchase from either the bar or the pro shop with all proceeds going to this year's Captain's Charity which is the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Entries close on Sunday, 1 November so make sure you get your tickets soon!
