Greetings from Paul Schunter
Cuddington Golf Club - Director of Golf

Once again our FootJoy shoe fitting was a resounding success with almost 20 of you having your feet measured last Wednesday. Of those attending only five people were wearing the correct size shoe, and of those five only two had the right width fitting! For those of you thinking of getting a new pair of shoes for the winter please ask in the pro shop for some advice on getting the best size shoe for your feet. The next shoe fitting day will take place in spring 2016.

Now that the clocks have changed and autumn is in full swing, please note that winter rules have now commenced with immediate effect. This means that a ball lying on a closely mown area through the green may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, they must place it on a spot within six inches of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green. A player may place their ball only once, and it is in play when it has been placed.

Finally, a reminder to all members that tickets are still available for this year's Captains Raffle. The main prize is a PowaKaddy FW3 electric trolley. Tickets are available to purchase from either the bar or the pro shop with all proceeds going to this year's Captain's Charity which is the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Entries close this Sunday, 1 November so make sure you get your tickets soon!
